Another month of comings and goings has been set to music and released on straight to video here at Yarkshire Gamer, free lifetime subscription avaliable by clicking sub on the Utubes.
A steady away month with some WW1 Mesopotamia stuff added to the collection.
Work in Progress are some 28mm Italian Wars Shot from TAG
I've even done some solo gaming, I must be going mad (wait till next month when a purchase will prove I have) π€£ Stay safe and see you somewhere on the tinterwebnet soon.
Enjoyed, thanks. I like the shading on your figures, as the recesses are caught but the highlights stay clean and am guessing that you used a thinned down polyurethane, like that sold by army painter ...... or even one of our DIY stores, Am I close?
ReplyDeleteQuite a way off I'm afraid Norm. I don't use the Army Painter dip at all, it can bring out a very basic paint job or destroy a good one π
DeleteI used painting triads and drybrushing mostly with a sparing use of water based washes, with oils for horses. Always happy to answer questions, you may find the tutorials I've done on the Utubes https://youtu.be/V6DUFNwX4Uk
Nice work Ken, and those Woodbine designs really are a nice figure and came up beautifully. I'm with you on the triad/no dip approach, and have preferred that over the past ten years or so. I finally got the chance to use your basing method on some GHQ WWII ships by the way, and very pleased I was indeed as a first attempt.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Lawrence, I finally got round to the ship video π
DeleteThanks, I am intrigued and will go there now. The dry brushing is probably the bit that I could do with bringing into my own painting. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks hope it's useful for you ππΌ
DeleteMadness...Nah, you'll blend right in this year!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good time to hide a bit of madness π
